IICA Technology Expo

At the IICA Technology Expo Messina Vision Systems had a table demonstrating our new developments. The black box in the middle shows the casing around our test system; we had marbles roll down to simulate a conveyor belt like system where a camera was used to detect glossy marbles. The system demonstrates the capabilities of using machine learning to allow operators to tune vision inspections, since manually to deal with variation is a task considered too difficult when use traditional coding methods. It is about using the right technology for the right applicatio...

ABC 774 with Rafael Epstein

Ryan Messina was on ABC 774 with Rafael Epstein during drive time radio, discussing the use of algorithms and what they are to the general public. The interview goes for five minutes and focused on the changes to Twitter's algorithm to filter their timeline and becoming more like Facebook; we discussed why people are against the change and what it means. There was less discussion on the use of algorithms for machine vision and automation applications, but nevertheless it starts the discussion on their importance, how they are affecting our lives and whether or not we ...
